Visit to Yarm & Whitby

After London, we drove up to Stockton on Tees for my work portion of the trip. Yes…we drove from London to Stockton on the opposite side of the road. It was pretty cool experience driving through the English countryside. While I worked, the family visited some parts of upper England and the first is called Yarm. Here are some pictures.

We relaxed after arriving at the hotel. It was a long day across the country.

We rode the London Eye as the sun was setting on London which is the best time to ride. You get to see the city in light and at night.

Unfortunately our trip to London came to an end. We had to load up our rental cars and head up to Stockton on Tees. It was such a great visit and we are looking forward to another visit.

Lambeth palace is right outside of our window and we went over to take a look. Not too fancy for a palace, but it was still interesting to see.

We have a ton of photos as we did the London Bus tour. Here they are.

Travel to Europe – London Part 1

bWe went to London, Stockton on Tees and Paris. It was such a nice trip with my mom, dad, Stephanie and Blake. We also want to thank Lynn and Alton for their help during the trip.

We started out the trip at the airport which Blake did enjoy all the planes. He did really well on the plane which we were very happy about. No one even knew a youngster was around them.

Once we arrived, we got a ride to our apartment which is in a great part of London. It overlooked the river Thames and Lambeth which was the scene for the roundabout in European Vacation. You could see Big Ben and Parliament right from the living area. It was sweet to say the least.

We decided to head out right away and check out London. River Thames and to a park right by parliament. Over to Parliament. Westminster Abbey. Just taking it all in.

Day 2 we had the big objective to take in some more of the city and then to Buckingham Palace. There are not pictures allowed in the palace, but it is pretty nice. After the tour you come out on the grounds and you can take some pictures and it just a beautiful place.

After Buckingham palace, our goal was to get The Albert which was a great pub that we saw on the way to Buckingham palace. We did quite a bit of walking as we took in the city.
