Blake got a new bouncy chair today.  He seems to really like it.  We have a few pictures and a little movie to watch.  More pix and movie here.

Blake will be 4 weeks old tomorrow.  Yesterday he watched his first football games and was decked out in football gear.  As you can see...he is pumped!

Blake got to come home today!  We did care by parent night in the hospital the night before and we did well...as far as we know.  We have spent the last couple of days prior preparing last minute things and getting mentally ready for the end of this road.  We started August 11th and this was the first day that we have not been to the hospital.  That in itself was very different and nice.

After reviewing all results with the nurse practitioner and doctor, we were officially discharged.  We loaded Blake into the car seat and drove home for the first time with a baby in the back seat.

Today, Blake had his first bottle and knocked it out like a champ.  This is another step in his march towards coming home.

This weekend Blake did very well on his feedings.  He is hitting over 10 minutes now which is a big milestone.  Just needs to get a little more consistent.  We were also happy to see Brad, Lisa and Tyler today as they visited Mr. Blake. 

I finally smoked my celebratory Cuban cigar today.  A real Cuban.   

Blake will be 2 weeks old tomorrow!  Getting to be an old man.

Blake is doing great.  He is off his IV and is laying in an open crib.   We even got to hold him last night again which was really nice.

Blake Alan Bethel was born at 11:33 am, 4lbs, 5ozs and today is also our 7th wedding anniversary.   I really don't think we could have gotten a better gift.  We welcome our new son to the family!!     More here...

Just an update.  Steph is still in the hospital and the little one is hanging in there hopefully for another week or so.  We are hoping to get to 34 weeks before he is born.  More to come...

Steph's water broke 9 weeks early on Wednesday ( 8.11.10 ) and we were off the hospital.  The baby is doing pretty well all things considered.  Chace is at doggy day care with his grandma Lynne and his brothers.

We have updated the pictures of the baby room...Here.

We have a new ultrasound picture.  29 weeks!  Not a 3D, but still cool to see.  Everything is looking great from measurements so we are really excited about that.   It is really hard to believe that he will be arriving in 9-10 short weeks.

We also got a new stroller.  We are ready to push Jr around the block in style I believe.  Here.

I have been working on the backyard lately...it is starting to come around.  I took this picture of a new Crape Mrytle tree.  It was a really nice day and a bright blue sky.  Plus...added a new track.
